Shipping & Receiving Clerk -7350 Industrial Blvd, Allentown, Pennsylvania, 18106
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for shipping, receiving, returns, and carrier relations.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on multiple shifts (see options below) Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.
Option 1 (days): 6:00am to 6:00pm on a 223 schedule.
Example:
Week 1: Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday
Week 2: Sunday Wednesday Thursday
Option 2 (nights): 6:00pm to 6:00am on a 223 schedule.
Example:
Week 1: Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday
Week 2: Sunday Wednesday Thursday
Position Responsibilities
Check in and out truck drivers in a timely manner using Carrier Point (logistics software used by Ryder)
Assign drivers to doors to be loaded and unloaded
Complete the bill of ladings for drivers and get the proper signatures
Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies and procedures of the Company and Standards established by Office of Safety and Health Administration
Execute new approaches/procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and services performed
